Please join us as we learn from God’s Word through the books of Ruth and Hebrews for the 2024-2025 season.  

Each week, we will begin our study as a large group in the Function Hall for a brief overview and then break into classrooms to dig into the word in smaller group settings.  We will spend time studying the Word through an inductive method which includes sharing observations from the text, reviewing the context of the setting, interpreting the Word and ultimately seeing how it applies to our own lives today.

Childcare is available for the Tuesday morning session. 

Why Study Hebrew?

The Bible was written by God using Men to Men.  This requires that a culture, time and language be chosen.  It was also written to a particular people at different times.  There are two major sections, the old covenant (testament) and new covenant (testament).  The new makes 25\% written in the lingua franca (common language) of the time i.e. Greek.  The old 75\% was written in two languages, the majority of which is Hebrew.

DEC is offering an Introduction to Biblical Hebrew.  It will be a taste v. (Taste and see that the LORD is good PS. 34:8); of the language, script (letters) and various grammatical structures.

This course will run for 6 weeks, every Sunday from October 13-November 17 at 10:30am in Room 2.
