Baptism can be tough to define. Through history, the church has had some lively discussions about the how, the where, and the when of baptism, but we all agree that it’s a vital act of faith, and a public sign of our connection with the Lord.
It’s spiritual, but it’s also physical. It’s symbolic, but it’s also entirely real. It’s of our own free will, but it’s a commandment from God. On all accounts, it’s a very big deal. And those who take the plunge in faith are never the same.
We offer a 45-minute class exploring how and why we practice baptism. The next Baptism Class: TBD. For more information about baptism, email Pastor Joe Cheslock at joe.cheslock@durhame.org.
