Communications Task Force

The Elder Board has commissioned a task force to review the communication channels and processes within our church family and design a new “Communication Pod” which is currently undefined in our ministry team structure.

The first job of this new Communication Task Force (the “CTF”) was to clearly define what we think needs to be done and outline the steps required to accomplish this work. The charter was drafted this fall, shared with the Elder Board on November 7th, and then with the Ministry Council on November 14th. You can download a full copy of the charter here.

How You Can Help

The outcome of this effort will undoubtedly involve some degree of change in the way we serve together and change is always challenging. So we invite you to join us in embracing Jesus’ instruction in John 13 to love one another in such a way that all those around us will know that we are His followers. Please pray for clarity and unity as we consider how to best communicate that love to each other and to a lost world.

Over the course of the coming months, you may be asked to participate in surveys, focus groups, or other discussions to help the CTF better understand the current and past states of communications within DEC. We appreciate your participation. We also welcome any input or thoughts you have on communications at DEC. You can send your input and comments to ctf@durhame.org (ctf null@null durhame NULL.org).
