Question: Where’s God Calling You To Serve?
October 20th, 2009
In light of this weekend’s message by Derek Williams of Forgotten Stories, it seems timely to ask, “Where is God calling you to serve?”
But what I mean is this: If you knew you couldn’t fail, and you had more faith than fear, where would you say God is calling you to use your gifts to serve Him?
Somewhere in the community? On the job? Make a movie? With a neighbor? Overseas? In the worship ministry?
Where is it?

Let me add that, “I really don’t know, but He IS!” is allowed too!

i feel like i should be on the job making a movie with my neighbor about worshiping ministry in my community..
but seriously..
i think that even if you dont hear directly from God to go serve here or there that no matter what you do or how you do it that you should step out in faith and let god lead you in his path… 3 years ago i strongly believed that i would never get to use the technology gifts that god gave me.. an now look.. i am able to help support the ministries at DEC as part of the tech team.. even working with high schools students as interns.. sharing/teaching/growing with them in tech skills.. as much as i tried to stay out of the tech stuff god kept leading me back there and opening doors i once thought were closed for good.
if i could offer any words of encouragement it would be that no matter what skills you think you do ro dont have that if you step out in faith and ask god to lead you then with him by your side you cannot fail for he will never leave us of forsake us..
so dont just sit there reading/surfing the web/contemplating how you can serve.. take a step in faith and let god lead you.. go to the contact page and let them know “i want to serve but dont know where/how”… http://durhame.org/contact/ and watch what God can do!
