Reflecting On Tonight’s Service

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Coming off tonight’s Communion Service, I’m sitting in my office with this Scripture running through my head:

“Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.” (Psalm 33:1 KJV)

“Comely,” according to Dictionary.com, means: 1. pleasing in appearance; attractive; fair: a comely face. 2. proper; seemly; becoming: comely behavior. Question: How Do You Know You’re Too Busy?

Monday, September 21st, 2009

I can’t keep up.  I admit it.  I’ve been feeling like I can either figure out what needs to be done, schedule it, or do it, but not all three.  All (or almost all) good stuff that “needs” to be done.  And it’s affecting me. I can see it. I can feel it.

Prepping For The Pig Roast

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Hi everybody!

Just a quick note to let you know how excited we are on the worship team for the Pig Roast this Saturday. The tech and planning preparations have been ongoing for a couple weeks, and we’ve got a day and a half of setup and breakdown work yet to do (and that’s just for music! …those poor guys standing over the grill at 3AM…?!).

But isn’t it great to give a little piece of your life away for Jesus’ glory?  Isn’t it just the best to belong to a community of believers who value the glory and the gospel of God enough to put in some long hours serving, praying and rubbing shoulders in order to build His Kingdom?

What a God He is, and so worthy of the best we can give Him… Pig Roast weekend and always!

See ya there!

Has Chris Gone Stealth?

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

It’s been pretty quiet here lately, huh?  Well, not in my life!  And I can’t wait to tell you about our family’s move to Madbury, putting down our dog, the changes in worship ministry, developments on the DEC recording scene, and DEC’s fall emphasis.

In the meantime, feel free to write me a note or email me a purdy picture. Oh, and would you pray for me? :)

Love you guys.
